THE SITUATION
The Metropolitan Airport Authority of Peoria (MAAP) needed more durable and adaptable signage designating parking lot aisles and car rental parking spots. Their existing signage was difficult to maintain, alter, and relocate as needed.
Durable, Movable Signage
Existing signage wasn’t easy to change out, couldn’t endure the hot summers or cold winters well, and was difficult to remove and relocate as needed. And while RubberForm had sign posts and sign bases, we didn’t have the T frame configuration they needed.
Our Innovation
RubberForm fabricated a non-perforated square metal sign post in a T frame configuration. We powder coated/painted with MAAP’s custom colors and drilled holes on the 2 arms to mount the aisle/space signs (see photo). If used with our Sign Bases, the sign posts would be easy to install and relocate too.
It Worked
Our Applied Innovations product design team presented a 5-foot tall T framed Sign Post Base to MAAP that was accepted as designed. An optional weighted base can be used for high wind areas for added stability and safety. We now have a T frame Sign Post product offering for any of our national customers.
